About Me

I’m a born and raised Jersey girl who has been in the Boston area long enough to consider herself a Bostonian (except for 11 months in PA).  Yes, I’ve been to the Jersey Shore.  In fact, I graduated high school with The Situation.  It’s not something I’m proud of or anything.

I’m married to my very best friend Solomon, and we’ve been together for over 8 years now.  We’ve been through everything together and keep coming out stronger and stronger!  We were married on October 14, 2007.

In January 0f 2010 we decided to try and start a family.  We got incredibly lucky (or maybe not since there wasn’t a lot of practicing!) and got pregnant on our very first try.  A day before our 3rd anniversary, Aaron was born at 7 lbs., 1 oz. and 19/25 inches long.

Isn’t he sweet? He was a teeny tiny little man and only one month old when that picture was taken!  He is the sweetest, most amazing little boy ever.  He’s full of personality, super curious about everything, loves people and loves to eat!

Delicious, isn’t he?

I also have a miniature schnauzer named Rufio.  He’s a big pain in the butt and absolutely insane, but I love him anyway!  He’s such a sweetheart plus he loves being a big brother!

Now about me…I like to run (which is something I never in a million years thought I would say).  It’s been a killer way to lose the baby weight!  I also like yoga, long walks, rock climbing and hiking.  I’m a former college swimmer.  I miss swimming, but don’t have access to a pool right now.  Bummer.

I love food.  Love it.  Wine too.  I love to cook, eat, experience, and talk about food.  I love trying new restaurants-whether it’s a hole in the wall or fine dining.  I love trying new wines (the drier the better), and love doing wine tastings.  I really enjoy both cooking AND baking, and love to share my creations with friends and family.

I also enjoy traveling, reading (a Kindle makes it so much easier), shopping, shoes and having fun anyway I can.  I really don’t like rudeness (like people who don’t say “excuse me” or think you’re a door person and don’t say thank you), loud gum chewing, clowns or feet.  Those things all make me want to vomit just a little bit.

I hope you enjoy Beantown Momma. I’m excited to share with you!

Hi, I saw your comment on Katy Widricks blog about self-hosting. If you have any questions about the process I’d be happy to help. Katy is totally right on—once you switch to self-hosting, you’ll wonder what took you so long to do it.

Let me know if you have any questions.

p.s. I have a second blog at, and I also use the Vigilance theme. I like how you’ve made yours look. 🙂
