Live, Love, Eat and…BABY!!

I’M PREGNANT!!!

That wasn’t an April Fool’s joke yesterday, but I thought it might be fun to play some head games 🙂 !  I’ve had a secret for quite some time, that I have been alluding to, leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for you all to pick up on.  I was going to wait until Monday to share, but just couldn’t wait any longer!  Some of you knew my secret, but I am thrilled to share with you all that Solomon and I are expecting our first child!

The reason I didn’t announce it sooner was because I am superstitious and thought it was best to be cautious.  I found out at 7 weeks, but both Solomon and I didn’t think it was appropriate to post so soon.  Now, I can’t wait to share this journey with all of you!

Here were some of my hints:

• I complained I was tired, cranky and overwhelmed generally.
• I headed to NJ for a quick weekend.  With 14+ hours of driving, I actually had something to share with my parents and Solomon’s parents who came down!
• My love of fried eggs.  I’m surprised my mom didn’t pick up on this one, since she craved fried eggs the whole time she was pregnant with me.
• I had a lot to share, but not yet.
• Half Mary training suffered.  I was too sick to run, or do anything more than lay on the couch!
• I suddenly started loving milk after not drinking it for years.  My body is craving calcium for le bebe!

No, none of it is completely obvious at all, but I wanted to drop some clues here and there!

Right now, I am 13 weeks and 1 day along, with an October 7th due date!  I can’t wait to meet this little one!

By the way, Rufio is totally excited, and happy to get in on the action.  He is going to be so amazing around this baby, he loves all babies and is so protective!

We are heading off to Boston tonight to spend some time with Solomon’s family for Passover, and so they can see my belly (Solomon’s sister is so excited, I can’t wait to see her!).  We are also going to tell my nephew Alex who is 4 1/2 (we are pretty sure 8 month old Charlie won’t get it!).  See you all Monday!
